How we protect your data
We only ask for what it actually takes to run a trustworthy food marketplace — verifying real caterers, routing drivers safely, and processing orders. Here's exactly what we collect, why we need it, and how it's protected.
What we collect, and why
To approve a caterer's shop, we ask for a government-issued ID, your business license or registration, your food service permit, and a W-9 for tax reporting on payouts — the minimum a legitimate food platform needs to confirm you're a real, compliant business. Customers and drivers go through the same principle: we only ask for what's actually needed to run the marketplace safely.
Your documents are stored privately
Everything you upload — IDs, licenses, permits, tax forms — goes into a private file store. It isn't public, isn't indexed, and isn't linked anywhere on the site. Only your own account and our review team can open your files. Other caterers can't see them. Customers can't see them.
Your account and data are locked down at the database level
This isn't just app-level rules we could forget to check — access is enforced by the database itself, so your profile and documents are scoped to your account specifically. A handful of especially sensitive fields, like Stripe payout details, can't be edited directly even by a signed-in session — only our verified server processes can touch them. Signing in now also requires a confirmed email, so an account can't be created and used with an address that isn't actually yours.
Your payout details never touch our servers directly
Payouts run through Stripe Connect, a payments processor used by major platforms worldwide. Naijapacks never sees or stores your bank account or card numbers — Stripe handles that directly, and we only ever see a connection status (set up, verified, enabled).
Who can actually see your information
You. Our review team, only for approving your shop. A driver, only your pickup details, and only once they're assigned to an order of yours. That's the complete list. We don't sell data, and we don't share more than operations require.
You're always in control
You can update your profile any time, and you can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@naijapacks.com. See our full Privacy Policy for the legal detail behind everything on this page.
